Transport Within Islington

Islington is home to Angel, and Highbury and Islington tube stations and is serviced by the Northern and Victoria lines, with good bus services and cycle routes that appeal to cyclists due to its flat and easy routes into the centre. There are Boris bike docking stations throughout Islington should you wish to hire a bicycle for the day.
Nearby Caledonian tube station is on the Piccadilly line and there are overground stations on Caledonian Road, Barnsbury, Canonbury and Highbury and Islington. The A1 runs directly through Islington if you need to access the area by car.
Islington Stations and Bus Services
Islington stations are all within zone 2, except Angel, which is in zone 1. Islington has very good bus services and the following numbers have routes through the area: 4, 19, 30, 43, 263, 271, 277, 393 and the night buses N19 and N41.
From Islington you can reach Waterloo in around 25 to 30 minutes, to get to Oxford Circus the journey is in the region of 10 minutes and to Paddington it will take roughly 25 minutes on the tube.
