Canary Wharf has four shopping malls; there are over 200 bars, shops, restaurants and cafes to enjoy on a day out. There are many scenic riverside locations to enjoy whilst eating and drinking. The four malls in Canary Wharf include Canada Place, Jubilee Place, Cabot Place and Churchill Place. Most major retailers and restaurateurs are situated here.

For green space head to Jubilee Park for peace and quiet, located behind the tube station or Wood Wharf site is home to open-air entertainment in the summer, there is also nearby Mudchute Park, which is home to 32 acres of countryside. Throughout Canary Wharf you’ll see an array of art, including impressive sculptures. There is a Cineworld multiplex cinema with ten screens, there is also a fringe theatre called ‘The Space’ and five private health clubs with swimming pools. 

Canary Wharf Restaurant & Bars

Canary Wharf is home to a number of well-known chain restaurants including Carluccio’s, Bryon Burgers, Pizza Express and Slug and Lettuce. ‘The Narrow’ is Gordon Ramsey’s gastro pub, for Japanese head to ‘Roka’, or ‘Boisdale’, which serves over 3,000 whiskies and has a Scottish vibe. ‘Plateau’ serves delicious French food and has fabulous views. For breakfast head to ‘Canteen’ and ‘Le Pain Quotidien’, there is great tapas to be enjoyed at ‘Iberica’, steaks and burgers at ‘Manhattan Grill’, Thai at ‘Sri Nam’ and ‘Aniseed’ for Indian cooking.

In terms of drinks, ‘Henry’s’ is a big bar, ‘The Gun’ a gastro pub is very popular with the locals, and ‘Cat and Canary’ is good for a homely pint and burger. To watch all the sporting action head to ‘Sports Bar and Grill’. ‘Nicola’s Wine Bar’ has over 300 wines to choose from, and for a cocktails try ‘The Parlour’; ‘One Canada Square’ is also great for cocktails and European cuisine.

Latest Leisure activities in Canary Wharf

The jazz festival in Canary Wharf is London’s largest free jazz festival, with jazz, funk, Latin and soul music showcased. It is held in August every year for three days, and takes place in Canada Square Park.

The Children’s Theatre Festival, features outdoors family theatre performances throughout July, this is a free event and it is held in Jubilee Park.
