Churchill Theatre is located in Bromley, here many pre West End shows have screenings, and there are over 700 seats in the theatre. There is also Bromley Little Theatre, where local talent is showcased. The Empire Cinema, screens mainstream films and also art house. Ripley’s Art Centre showcases local artists work and is home to concerts every so often.
Bromley Cricket Club is very highly regarded and perfect for sporting types, as is Bromley Golf Club; at the cricket club there is opportunity to play racquetball, tennis and squash, and they hold regular sporting events. The Pavilion leisure centre has a gym, a bowling alley, and a café and pool, it is also host to a variety of fitness classes, it recently underwent a £5 million development.
Bromley Restaurant & Bars
Café culture is a prominent scene in Bromley with Brodies Café and Lavender House being popular. There are a variety of restaurants in Bromley, offering an array of cuisine, for curry try ‘Cinnamon Culture’, Italian ‘Ferrari’s’, Greek and Italian in a chic establishment head to ‘Aqua Mediterranean Bar and Grill’. If Thai cuisine is what you are after there is ‘Nam Thai’, for seafood ‘Blue Harbour’ and sushi ‘Sakura’. ‘Bellenie’s Osteria’ sells the most delicious Italian tapas, ‘Chapter One’ is a Michelin starred restaurant and perfect for a special occasion.
In terms of drinking the Rambler’s Rest in nearby Chislehurst has a nice outdoor area and choice of ales. The British Queen near Bromley also offers proper beer and good food. For cocktails Ferrari’s offers a good selection. The French bar La Rascasse has a lovely covered terrace, The Coney; near Bromley is also a lovely bar to relax in.
