Odeon cinema is situated on Beckenham High Street for film buffs, Beckenham Theatre Centre is on Bromley Road, and it is one of the UK’s smallest theatres and host to a number of performances throughout the year. Club Langley is on Hawksbrook Road; here there are football pitches, archery, bowls, darts and a swimming pool to enjoy. Breeze Yoga also has pilates, yoga and mediation classes for those who like to stay in good health.
The David Lloyd Club and The Spa both have a swimming pool. With regard to outdoor space, there is Croydon Road Recreation Ground, which is home to a children’s playground, café, and tennis court and football pitch. There is also the delightful Cator Park, Kelsey Park, Beckenham Place Park to enjoy; there is a golf course at the latter.

There is a number of nice independent bars and restaurants in Beckenham, among them ‘Nineteen Bar and Kitchen,’ which is based in a mansion house in Beckenham Place Park. There are a number of public houses some of which offer gastro food, the following pubs are of note: ‘The Elm Tree’, ‘Jolly Woodman’, ‘The Chancery’, ‘Bricklayers Arms’ and also the chain pubs the ‘Toby Cavery’ and ‘The Slug and Lettuce’.
There are a number of restaurants to enjoy a variety of foods including ‘Ask Italian’, ‘Dizzy’s Diner’ offering American cuisine, ‘Dos Amigos’ offering Mexican, ‘El Molino’ for Spanish delicacies, ‘La Rascasse’ for French. There is also the chain restaurants ‘Nando’s’ a Portuguese chain, ‘Prezzo,’ Zizzi’s’ and ‘Pizza Express’.
‘Sapore’ offers delicious wood fired pizzas, there is also the Italian ‘Zi’Teresa’ and Turkish eateries ‘Kemer and Lalezar.’ For those looking for somewhere to head for a drink there is ‘Friends of Mine’, ‘Bridge Bar’, ‘Kelsey House Bar and Kitchen’, and ‘O’Neill’s.’ For an aromatic coffee pop into ‘Fee and Brown’.
